Season 4 Episode 8 - Guest Maru Serrano
This week, I have the pleasure of a beautiful conversation with Maru Serrano, a long time Hakomi Practitioner and Teacher, a practitioner and teacher of the Feldenkrais method, and, a poet. Recently, Maru co-founded Hakomi Cascadia with a group of Hakomi practitioners with an interest in bringing the skills of Hakomi, Loving Presence, and Feldenkrais available online. I've posted the link below. In this episode we share about the meaningfulness of our inner life, through poetry, voice, stillness and space, movement, and insights into our habits and patterns. We talk about the skillful ways we learn to listen to the subtle messages of the body, and the transformative nature of spontaneity. This conversation, in its meandering and poetic way, was deeply coherent and resonant for me, as I am sure it will be for you as well.
About Season 4 - "Awake in the Body"
This season, through conversations with body centered practitioners, yoga teachers, and teachers of mindfulness and non-dual wisdom, let’s weave our way through the skillful means to touch to and awaken the wisdom and nourishment available through the body. Ever mindful of a broad cultural denial of the body, we share pieces of our own journeys, and offer skills to help awaken us to our own wisdom.
In this strange time that surrounds us, we are looking everywhere for answers, for the truth, the facts, and ways to safely navigate. More and more of us turn within, and begin to trust the wisdom within, moving beyond the divided world of facts, to the wholeness of the heart.
