Season 4 Episode 6 - "Creating Space or Opening Up Inner Space"
This week, we explore the theme of creating space, or opening up inner space. How often do you find yourself in the entanglement of conflicting agendas, a sense of confinement and ‘not enough time’? The feeling of restriction also creates feeling of overwhelm and confusion. We lose our essential clarity and balance. Through sitting meditation and movement exercises we return to spaciousness, our true home and nature.
Don McGinnis is a certified Kum Nye instructor and has been teaching Kum Nye for eight years. Kum Nye is a form of Tibetan Yoga, which integrates movement practices with stillness. Kum Nye gives the practitioner the opportunity to mindfully study body and senses. Profoundly relaxing, Kum Nye opens the door to deep meditative states of consciousness.
About Season 4 - "Awake in the Body"
This season, through conversations with body centered practitioners, yoga teachers, and teachers of mindfulness and non-dual wisdom, let’s weave our way through the skillful means to touch to and awaken the wisdom and nourishment available through the body. Ever mindful of a broad cultural denial of the body, we share pieces of our own journeys, and offer skills to help awaken us to our own wisdom.
In this strange time that surrounds us, we are looking everywhere for answers, for the truth, the facts, and ways to safely navigate. More and more of us turn within, and begin to trust the wisdom within, moving beyond the divided world of facts, to the wholeness of the heart.
