Guest Robin McEvoy:
Dr. Robin McEvoy is a developmental neuropsychologist practicing in Denver, Colorado. She is the lead author of the book, Child Decoded, written to help parents and professionals sort out complex issues in learning, attention, and behavior. Dr. McEvoy takes an integrated approach to evaluation, exploring not only a child's cognitive and learning profile, but also factors such as sensory processing, motor abilities, gut health, sleep and the many factors that can impact a child's day. Her podcast, The Integrative Pediatric Assessment, was one of the top five podcasts downloaded from the site, The Testing Psychologist. She is a great believer in Neurodiversity and how it makes our society stronger, but also that different neurotypes will interact with the world differently at a deep biological level. Understanding that will help everyone be more successful in the world.
Dr. McEvoy is the adoptive mother of three daughters, all approaching young womanhood now. She has three cats, as well as a love of travel, biking and reading. She also recently ended up with a puppy.
