Recommendations for Preparing Your Space (Written by Melissa Terese McLaughlin) -
To participate in breathwork during the show, we recommend you prepare a quiet space for yourself. When it is time to breathe together, you may lie down on a yoga mat on the floor, bed, couch, or sit up in a stable supportive chair. Wear comfortable yoga-style clothing, something which will not impede your stomach and chest for ease of breathing. A blanket is highly suggested; getting cold during breathwork is a common side effect. It is best if your head is lying flat so the energy can easily move up and out your spine and throat center. A cover for your eyes is advised, especially during the day. A glass of water, a box of tissues by your side, and bringing in the sacred by lighting a candle, burning Palo Santos, cider Pinos for clearing, and sage for a blessing are all suggestions for your space. Have a journal close by for inspired writing after.
